SOMA is a non-political and a non-profit organization set up solely to serve its membership.
All member clubs are free to pursue their own aims and ideals. There is NO ‘agenda’ at SOMA to force any club or organization to conform to any edict. SOMA is an umbrella support organization whose mantra is:
United we all grow stronger.
SOMA is sanctioned by the Australian Boxing and Martial Arts Commission.
SOMA is a multi-disciplined martial arts organization and welcomes all legitimate martial arts clubs in Australia.
SOMA is covered by a Constitution which is available to all member clubs and can be found at this site under the heading ARTICLES —> SOMA Constitution .
The Constitution was revised in 2013 to bring it up to date with modern ideas and the principles of SOMA.
SOMA is a benevolent organization that strives to support and assist all martial artists throughout Australia.
