Any bona-fide martial arts club (or individual) of good standing, who wants to further his or her knowledge in any martial art, may apply to join SOMA.
SOMA provides membership to both traditional and eclectic styles of martial arts. Becoming a member of S.O.M.A. is an easy process.
Just download the application form attached to the last page of the Membership Booklet (see Appendix 3 – page 12) and once completed you can then email your form to budo-@-iinet.net.au (note: link deliberately broken to prevent spam) or post it to:

ABOUT THE FEES:
Fees are set by the Board every year.
Realistically, we would not even like to charge fees. But we have costs. We need fees to SERVE you and your organisation. This is the same reason why we charge fees for gradings (if needed).
The fee to apply to join SOMA is presently $100.00. And there is an ongoing fee of $100.00 per annum. The yearly fee is payable on the 1st of February each year. Pro-rata fees will be worked out to ensure that everybody’s fees are due on this date.
PAYMENTS MAY BE MADE AS FOLLOWS:
1 – by EFT to Society of Martial Arts (Commonwealth Bank of Australia BSB: 065-167 Acct: 10 348 682 – please include last name on transfer or organisation name), or
2 – by sending a Money Order or personal cheque made out to Society of Martial Arts to the address shown above.
Please include a copy of your last Grading Certificate showing your current rank.
SUMMARY:
You may also join as an individual (that is – NO club) for discounted fees, as shown below.
Club or Organisation Application Fee: $100.00 (once only)
Club or Organisation Annual Fee: $100.00
Individual Application Fee: $50.00 (once only)
Individual Annual Fee: $50.00
Your application will then be discussed at the next SOMA Board meeting. You will be advised in writing of your acceptance. If, for any reason, your application is denied, your money will be refunded in full.
